Greetings from New Jersey, USA!

What do I do?

  • I do more than just design, I build user applications. Since each business has unique requirements and needs, we work as a team to accomplish your organizations goals in achieving a successful presence online.
  • I'm a builder: I build web solutions for your organization by programming databases to display products and other data online and to give you the freedom to continue the project on your own, independently of myself. (Book me!).
  • I setup community-based forum boards and train future administrators or act as an administrator when needed.
  • I setup private Social Network Systems.
  • I build online product-display lists with shopping cart for retail and wholesale stores.
  • I upgrade your existing Drupal.org core to add functionality by using modern APIs. API stands for "Application Programming Interface" and is a set of tools usually in the form of code libraries aiding in the development of software programs. (wikipedia).
  • I research and do Web analyses to measure, learn, and take action to improve web results.
  • I do Workshops about web design and also meditation in community centers or corporate offices in New Jersey.
  • I own and manage iContemp ( Internet Contemporanea) which is currently involved in building a Web Directory & Review platform to cover the Angolan web infrastructure, among other major projects,
  • I work with non-profit teams to bring their articles to the web. Some of my time is donated to these projects but I also do it for a fee.

For me programming is both math and an art. Formally, I'm certified as an Electronics Engineering Technologist. About iContemp

iContemp stands for Internet Contemporânea, a commitment to keep my projects up to date and always right to the point.
This is my full-time endeavor, one that started in college back in 2004 when I was studying web technologies.
I've dedicated the last 36 years of my life to customer oriented solutions and support. It's what I enjoy doing and I'm blessed to be able to work on what turns me on.

About Lusitanus

Lusitanus is the name of this platform located in the iContemp server. It will comprise of articles and notes of web development interest, a way of gathering my own thoughts and possibly share them with other fellow developers.
 photo of Luis de Camoes
The platform is named after the great Portuguese poet Luís de Camões who wrote "Busque Amor, novas artes, novo engenho"
A possible non-poetic translation for Camões riddle is : never quit - seek love, new artistic forms, new possibilities

I will come here daily but will only post my notes whenever I consider them finished and ready to go public.
Simplicity and practicality are my motto. No fancy designs, just down to earth solutions and articles.
Thanks, Gracias, Asante, Obrigado!

Here's my new facebook page. There is not much there yet cause I'm busy but I will get to it during the holidays.
